Single Life…

Single Life is geared with off-campus social interaction and on-campus thought provoking sessions to keep the singles of The Potter’s House in a mindset of wholesome growth and abundant overflow. Our mantra is taken from John 10:10, and says, “I have come that you may have life, and life more abundantly”. These words hold the heartbeat of the Single Life Ministry; as it single-mindedly focuses on developing the whole person in such a manner that the social boundaries of gender, race, age, or marital status could never contain the sum of its unfolding. And whether or not such a life of a Single Life member progresses into married bliss or single satisfaction; it surely will progress.

THE SINGLE LIFE (SL) ministry of The Potter’s House is designed to enrich the lives of Single Adults of all ages, stages, and phases of life’s journey through on-campus thought -provoking sessions, and off-campus social interaction and events.

The goal of SINGLE LIFE is to encourage, enlighten and empower Singles to grow and develop to a state of wholeness, completion and well-being in God while fully living an engaging, exciting, effective, and meaningful Spirit-filled life.

SINGLE LIFE will challenge and inspire you to pursue the abundance of life, whether you are a young or platinum Single; have never been married, are divorced, a Single parent, or a widow(er)…there is a place for you in the two-fold success strategy of Learning About It and Living It at Single Life!

LEARNING ABOUT IT: At the Single Life Café, the life-affirming teaching of God’s Word from the heart of Pastor Bonné Moon is both Spirit-filled and Real Talk. Using a Word based platform, Pastor Moon and the SL leadership lead topical discussions that are truly relevant to today’s Single Adult, while also creating an environment for the growth and development that often comes from an open and honest dialogue.

SINGLE LIFE CAFE meets the 2nd Friday night of every month in The Potter’s House lobby (main campus) from 7pm to 9pm. Immediately following, the conversation and connection continues at an off-campus venue (usually an area restaurant, patio café or upscale bistro, or a great place to hang out) where the Singles can enjoy each other’s company while meeting new people and making new friends. We call it “The Afterglow”.

LIVING IT: Our mantra is taken from John 10:10, in which Jesus says, “I have come that you may have life, and life more abundantly”. These words hold the heartbeat of SL, as it single-mindedly focuses on developing the whole person. The SL social events and community-related activities are broadly-based and specifically designed to provide opportunities for Single Adults to reach beyond their norm into a wholesome environment of new exposures, socializing, interacting, networking, and serving with other like-minded Singles of all cultures, races, and ages from The Potter’s House and beyond.
